Fukuoka Growth Next (FGN) has set forth its vision since FY2024: “Transform Fukuoka into a globally competitive startup city.” We are committed to supporting the growth of entrepreneurs who dare to take on the future, aiming to nurture startups that will represent Fukuoka and go on to thrive on the global stage.
At the core of this mission is our selective acceleration program, the High Growth Program (HGP). Each year, around 10 startups are chosen to receive tailored support through regular communication, mentorship from venture capitalists, seasoned entrepreneurs, and experts across fields such as HR, finance, and intellectual property. We also provide opportunities for fundraising and business partnerships, fostering the rapid growth of these startups.
This year, we are proud to present the culmination of HGP through the “Demo Day” on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. As part of “RAMEN TECH”, the largest startup festival ever held in Fukuoka, the event will feature presentations from 12 HGP-selected startups, along with a special talk session, “Scaling Startups from Fukuoka.”
We warmly invite those considering collaboration or partnerships with startups, as well as entrepreneurs aiming to be selected for HGP, to join us at this exciting event.
In the growth journey of startups, going public in the capital markets remains a significant milestone. However, with the tightening of listing maintenance requirements, exit strategies have become increasingly complex, giving rise to new options such as M&A, swing-by listings, and reverse takeovers.
For startups originating from regional cities, an equally critical factor for accelerating growth is how effectively they incorporate open innovation through collaboration with corporations and local governments.
In this session, we will explore growth strategies for Fukuoka-based startups from multiple perspectives, bringing together insights from investors, corporations, and startup supporters.
